Please find below the results of our Asking Price Report for 2011 which shows results for median and average pricing for new listings for the entire year. The year started out with a nice pop over 2nd and 3rd quarter median results for 2010,  flat as median priced was in line with the fourth quarter of 2009 and moderated down significantly in the 2nd and 3rd quarters with an overall median for the year fairly level. The average asking price was up for the second straight year showing higher valued listings coming on the market and perhaps more optimistic sellers. The Midwest and the South had the highest media gains whereas the Northeast had declined median prices and the West remained flat.
